NEW: We are very proud to report that we have achieved the Eco Schools Green Flag Award. This award acknowledges, rewards and celebrates the ecological achievements of the school, especially the hard work of our Eco Council.
Every child has the opportunity to take part in our Forest School sessions. We are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by 65 acres of grounds in which we have beautiful ancient woodland with fire pits and shelters, a natural pond and bee hives from which we harvest our own honey.
Our extensive grounds offer nature-based play and learning to develop every child’s confidence, self-esteem and independence.
A year at Forest School gives our children so many opportunities to explore and connect with the four seasons in nature. It instills a natural respect for the environment as well as a love of outdoor learning, a desire to explore and a willingness to take risks and learn new skills. Activities like hunting for bugs, identifying leaves and toasting marshmallows on the campfire mean that Forest School is a firm favourite for all our Junior Prep children, developing an untold number of life skills along the way.
